I tried ML-agents about 2 years ago. It took me forever to configure and train, and then when I was done, the results were not much to be happy with.
How are others doing? Are you getting nice behaviors?

I got into it when it was first announced and I got it going once and not again after that. Just a few days ago, however, I did the Hummingbirds ML tutorial on unity learn and it made things much clearer for me.
The hummingbirds worked just perfectly for me.
I've worked on two projects after that and so far so good. I mean that it's working and I'm getting the hang of it. There are many things I don't understand still and will take many more weeks and months of experimenting and learning deeper. But I'd say that MLAgents is quite accessible now.

What kind of projects are you working on with ML-Agents? I think it very much depends on the use-case and how much resources you're able to invest. As the occasional non-pro user, I don't expect to get anywhere near the cutting edge stuff like OpenAI Five, which requires tons of compute and time. But within the range of toy projects I can tackle, I find ML-Agents most impressive for physics control problems that would be hard to solve otherwise, like coordinating leg movement or steering behaviours.

Well for example I would like my game to play “asteroids” so I don’t have to write ai code manually.
