Horse for Heroes :)

Hey guys!

I am working on new horse.
It will not be upgrade of my existing horse asset but something new.
Hope to finish it this month.
And hope you will find it useful

Oooooo! Beautiful! I love it. Will you include accessories, such as saddles, blankets, armor, some medieval drapes, etc.? I adore you other horse.

Now I just need a stocky horse with hairy feet for a work horse on the farm or to drive carts.

Yes it will include at least one light Eastern type armor was used by horsemen archers. But maybe I will make another one heavy armor set like knights had.

 

That would be nice, but I really need horses for regular folks. I am learning how to create clothing, rig and weight, so maybe I can make my own horse "clothing". lol

Knights armor would be nice though for sales. More medieval rpgs out there than eastern. I have a Persian culture though that might be cool with eastern armor.

 

Eastern horse armor will be some kind mix of Mongols, Skimps and Japan types. No many nations had horseman archers. No one in Western Europe if I remember right.

Actually this horse is part of custom work.

Not sure if you saw this, but Opsive created a 3rd person controller for horses. Hopefully, yours will work with it. I see no reason why not. Can't wait to try it!

Now it about 27K with armor. I want to make LOD version no more then 15K.
And I want to add turns animations, on place and when horse moves.

Will the animations from your other horse work with this horse are are they different ones? And will the rider animations work from your other packs?

 

This horse will have all animations that my others horses have, I just want to add more.
Rider animations is for humans. And I am going to release only horse now.

After it I will make another asset. Horse + horseman archer on base of my Adam character.

Looks great as @Teila mentioned. Will your horse + rider have options to fire weapons (e.g. guns) while riding? It would be nice if handled pistol and rifle options.

The matter of fact this is custom work. I am making Medieval Horseman archer.
It will fight with sword and bow. And it will be a bit strange if such a guy will use fire weapons.

But I have animation collection with Horseman animations.
You can find animations for horseman there and for fire weapons as well.

model

Body combined from 3 objects (body, mane and tail) and has 5,784 polygons, 6,119 verts. and 11,566 triangles.
LOD version has 2,254 polygons, 2,534 verts. and 4,502 triangles.

Armor combined from 8 parts (mask, bridle, reins, harness, skirt, saddle, bags and stirrups) and has 8,302 polygons, 8,453 verts. and 16,270 triangles.
LOD version has 5,591 polygons, 5,895 verts. and 10,880 triangles.

skeleton

Horse rig has 40 bones.
Horseman, reins and stirrups bones can be re-positioned depending on horsemen character position and proportions.

textures

Textures are 5 different color textures for the horse body, 4 colors for hair and 3 colors for armor. Opacity, normals and specular maps included
All textures in .TIF file format and have 4096x4096 and 2048x2048 px.


animations

36 animation clips. 23 "on place" animation clips, plus 13 duplicates of walk, jump, gallop... animation clips included "root motion" data, used by Mechanim.
Each turn animation turns horse to 24 degrees.
