If someone still reads this, particularly when Thea 2 is going to be out...
The asset store page reads: "IMPORTANT NOTE: Version 1.5.5 is the final release of Honey and Unity versions above 5.6.1 will NOT be supported (though it might still work).
THIS ASSET WILL BE FROM MARCH 2019"
I feel like there's a missing word between 'will be' and 'from march'.
    What will happen in March?
I'd really like to use this asset in a project, but it's a bit expensive to use for a whole team if it doesn't support new versions of Unity, so what's going to happen with this asset in march?

I haven't seen this asset updated in YEARS. It was great for it's time, but no longer works on any decently modern version of Unity. Personally, I would avoid it at all costs. There are a few Hex frameworks out there you should explore.

Well, if you have examples, I'd welcome a list. I haven't found any that would handle terrains as large as I would like while giving very good looking graphics, whereas Honeyhex does both.
When it is free, this means I can use it, rewrite everything I want and maintain it in my game if I want, which is probably good enough for me.
