Hey all. I came back to a Unity project after about a month away from it. In fact, I haven't touched my PC since I backed the project up a month or so ago.

I decided to go back to said project. I opened it on my PC and hit play mode on one of the scenes. For some reason, it caused my computer to instantly crash and restart. Every time I try to play any scene in Unity, my PC does the same thing. I tried opening up a different project and the same thing happened.

My computer is fairly powerful, so I'm not sure what could be causing it. The only thing I can think of is lack of harddrive space. The projects I'm opening are large.

I have around 40 gigs of space left on my C drive. Shouldn't that be enough? If not, does anyone have any idea what the issue could be?

    Thanks in advance.

My first guess would be a hardware issue. I'd check for overheating/fan problems, test your RAM, etc. Disk space would not be an issue when hitting play mode unless your drive was completely full.

Thanks. I'll look into those issues.
