Hello everyone, I decided to make a WIP thread for all the guns I plan on uploading to the asset store once Unity5 comes out(because of PBR). None of them will be more than $15.

Why wait till unity 5? PBR is available already to unity4 with 3rd party solutions.
Weapons look great, will you be offering pack

I think I will just sell them on an individual basis. And as for Unity5 I guess I just wanted to have only one workflow that I knew would work across the board. I'm not completely familiar with how the 3rd party methods work right now but I don't think they all work with the typical specular/reflectivity texture workflow(my favorite). It will also give me some time to get some more guns ready.

    Using Lux with substance designer.
Set up using diffuse, normal and speculative with roughness in the alpha.

Very good texturing ! and really good details !
Just remember to have the gun parts that are moveable parts in the real world as moveable parts in unity so we can make realistic animations.

You should make many more guns in this quality and i think you have a chance too make a best seller pack on the asset store.

whould like too se you make ACWR, different AK's , 47,74,74U maybe .
Or an classic bolt hunting rifle.

    Good Luck With Your asset

Thanks for that! I'm currently working(when im not at my full time job or school) on a Bizon pp19 and would like to cover a large range of guns if there is a market for it. Basically my plan is to make as many as I can until Unity5 is out, release them for a fair price and see how they do. Who knows maybe if they do well and I decide to make more then I will release some cheaper bundles. I will definitely separate important moving parts on the guns as well.

I see only one metal material, would be good to have some different material color for some pieces of metal or some rust also. The wood texture is kinda strange.
    Keep improving.

I assume you are talking about the Winchester because the Vector has 3 metals and a plastic. I've added some wear highlights to break up the metal some. I was contemplating making a a variant with the front part being brass and the barrel being iron and maybe adding a little engraving design in the normal to make it more interesting.

    Some examples :

Your wood texture seems strange, perhaps make it more brown ?

Those are some nice examples. I think I should make a lot of texture variants. I think maybe the bump on the wood is too intense. As for the color idk there doesn't seem to be a perfect color even all the examples you show have different woods. I think I should try to make it look more like the last one though. Maybe a little lighter with less saturation?

Try putting the textured wood grain along the length of the buttstock (Horizontal, instead of vertical as you have it.
It would be cut this way in real life for absorbing vibration from recoil. The handle could be either.
