Working in a Dell XPS 15" with a 4K display is insane.
Being based in gtk2 (not 3) makes things hard to solve (I would say).

Anybody with similar issues, and a solution?
    Thanks

A preference for setting font size at the very least would be ideal :)

I end up squinting a bit sometimes to read tiny text in the console.

If you use Compiz, you can enable "Enhanced Desktop Zoom" as a workaround.

In fact menus are readable (so GTK is good).
The problem are the unity panels. I can use Cinnamon zoom, but it is not handy.

Have the same problem on my 4K ASUS running Arch and the Awesome WM.
Currently working around it by either using an external screen or lowering the overall resolution with xrandr (this is very annoying though, as everything else looks giant)
