    Hello everyone, hexagon grid-based map creation tool 'Hexworld' is finally out.


    What is Hexworld?
    Hexworld is an editor tool and 3D model pack that allows you create big hexagon based maps fast.

    What are the features?
    -Supports huge maps(Up to 1million Hexagons) with almost no lag.
    -You can drag the mouse to paint your map
    -Game-Ready lowpoly models and premade tiles.
    -Strategy camera controller.
    -Save&Load Maps and Scenes.

    Who are we?
    We are 2 students who happen to love strategy games and are game dev hobbyists. We spend most our time creating content for Unity.

    Hey beybi123 I took ASV-PFQR-9VPU-99PF-LQRD-YKW4.

    Got a few questions -

    1. What version of unity should we use with Hex World?
    2. What features are planned for hex world?

    Hello HeadClot88, thank you for your interest in our asset.
    1-It should be fine with all versions since it's not a version specific asset. But head's up there is a deprecated function in 2018 version but it's not a really big deal. We will correct this error ASAP.
    2-There are many features to come. First feature to come is Road Building framework, meaning you will be able to place roads on top of the tiles just as you place tiles(drag&paint) and roads will automatically be connected/updated. Just as in Civ games.
    Second planned feature is prefab generator, this means when you import your own assets you will be able to create tile prefabs much faster. For example when creating a forest tile instead of placing the trees one by one and giving them specific rotations you will be able to do that automatically.(Actually I have to add that all of the forest tiles are made with the prototype of this feature).

    Other planned features are procedural map generation(obviously this will take more time than the others) and more brushes.

    And also, we will try to implement requested features from users considering we are able to. So your feedback is really important here. I am aware there are minor bugs and we will fix them as soon as possible. And next update will hopefully be out next week.
