Welcome to Hexocalypse. This game is all about placing cards on a hex board, gather resources from them and defeat enemies.

The download is currently available for windows, mac, linux and android at itch.io

    or
Click here to play the game in your modern browser

It's a round based gameplay loop, each round is divided into three phases.

There is a in-game tutorial (accessable from the title screen and the settings menu) which holds all informations you need to play.

I would love if you can answer me any of these questions:
    • does the game run on your machine?
    • did you have fun playing the game?
    • do you like the gameplay loop?
    • do you want to beat your own highscore?
    • did you need and understand the tutorial?
    • are there any bugs?
Please let me know what you thing about this small prototype, any feedback which will help to improve this idea is welcome.

Today I've released a update which improves the graphic, the UI and the usability.
Also I've released downloadable versions for mac, linux and android and a version everyone can play on a modern browser. Check the first post for the links.

The play in browser worked fine for me. The gameplay loop got boring after 20 times, maybe add more guys to control. No, I don't want to beat my high score, too repetitive. The tutorial would've been better if I got to play along with it instead of just reading, but good thing I could access it while playing. I noticed 1 graphical glitch when I would move twice to an enemy and once I click on the guy I saw the attack button go dim, nothing serious.

Thanks @PiscesStudios for your feedback. I will include more gameplay elements to make it less repetitive (more units, level up & skills, more types of hex cards, more more more ;)), the current state is only the "basic" of the game.
Nevertheless, thanks again for your time and your thoughts :)
