Hexagon tilemap mesh

    After months of researching It seems that the best way to create a tile based grid map is by procedurally generating a mesh for it. I finally managed to track down a tutorial for this, but I can't any help on doing this for hexagonal tile's.

    Can any one point me towards a tutorial for generating a hexagon tilemap mesh for a strategy game?

    Maybe if you contact the guys who started this thread, they can maybe point you in the right direction

    What the thread title does not say is they are tile based games - with all kinds of shaped tiles.
