Sorry for the late reply. As said before, creating LOD, on my end would be a lot more work than just using some poly-optimizer tools: geometry optimization, optimized rig, re-skinning, animations would need to be tweaked for this LOD etc... Just reducing, edge loops or using a poly-optimizer tool is something that mostly makes sense for static geometry. Creating a LOD for characters means more than just retouching to the geometry.
For consistency reasons ( with creatures pack 1) as well as time development this pack won't be compatible for mobile devices.
regarding what's next: Gargoyle is in the pipe! :) for the moment it's modeled, rigged and skinned and it's currently being textured. hope to be able to show the WIP soon.
    Cheers

For the gargoyle, an "awakening" and "going to sleep" animation would be great to transition from one of the "statue" poses to the idle / awake animation, and visa versa. Can't wait to see it. :)

Not sure why you'd need a go back to sleep animation... I'd assume once awake player has to kill it. but yeah, for sure, an awakening animation would be made. Maybe some variations. like 2 or 3 idleStatue poses, and their specific awakening animation.

I could think a couple of reasons of why one would need a "go to sleep" animation.

e.g. In a game that have proximity checks the gargoyle can awake when the player is in range and go to sleep again if the player go away.

well it seems that it would be for really specific type of games... In most cases it would be a seek and destroy. Anyways, will see. Here is the first Skin almost ready, and the gargoyle posed into a statue. Hope you guys like it.
Cheers :) and !happy fourth of July to the USA folks! Tonight is war zone where I'm at!!

    The Gargoyle looks pretty amazing.

I'd like to add a vote for having an animation from awake to sleep; That or if we could just use the "alive" animation in reverse.
I would also like to see a shattered death animation but that might be pushing it a bit.

Glad you guys like it. Still need some polishing and fixes in the skinning but it's pretty much ready to get its second skin and being brought to life with some cool animations.
Looks like some go back to sleep ( A, B and C) will be created from the idleBreathe pose as it wouldn't make sense to play backwards the awakening animation.
Cheers! have to go make some stuff explode :)

Your last two creatures convinced me so you have a new customer. ;-) Hope the kraken and scorpion turn out to be as great as the gargoyle. :) Do you already know if the kraken will have some underwater and land animations ?

@ivendar: Glad to count you as a future customer. Kraken will be a crossing between crab, lobster, shrimp and octopus, giant squid, it won't have any swimming animation as I'm planning on giving it, 4 legs, 2 lobster claws, and tentacles attached to the head (4). But if you think it's really needed, I just had the idea of giving it a lobster, tail so it could maybe allow it to jump and have a long in air jump where it can give a few tail impulse. Let me know if that would match. Not sure when the Kraken would be done, even if I'm really looking forward to create that one.

Oh ok. Well you know much better than me what people want and I'm just a hobbyist so most times everything is fine. But on reading kraken I imagined a giant kraken / squid that lures somewhere underwater where you might have to swim through and then follows you on the land that's why I asked. If you know lord of the rings movies you know that monster. :D Iam not sure if I understood your writing correct as it's not my native language. Sounds a bit to me like it doesn't move or swim at all ? I would love to see it be able to move/follow and attack of course but maybe other people can share their opinion about.

it'll will move, walk, whether under water or on the floor. if under water I as mostly thinking about giving it a lobster tail in order to give some forward impulse to kinda swim. Hope this makes more sense.

Ok I gotta say, I hadn't checked out the actual animations until I imported the Fungoid into Unity !
I am so glad to see it turned out to be an other one of those, hidden in plain sight type of creatures
 Absolutely love the way it crawls out of the ground !

I'm really loving this Pack! I really hope we get to see more of these hidden creatures !!
Thank you so much Protofactor !!:D

A troll like those in Fable, appearing from the ground would be very cool :), with grass on top and all

The giant beetle in this pack could potentially do a ground up appearence

Also +1 for the colored mushroom in the Fangoid, will be great as a guide to change colors for variations later too

Thanks ... would be great if you could add the colour variation. If not ... no biggie.

What's next in the pipeline? I have to say I'm amazed at how fast you are producing these guys. I think I'll be buying each one of your future creature packs if you do any more ... they're fantastic.

Hey guys. Sorry for this late reply.
Thank you all for the kind words. Always really encouraging. I'll try to do some color variations, maybe 2. Right now I'm hesitating between centaurs, medusa and giant scorpion.
Let me know what you guys think.

Centaur .... would be great if he was slightly armoured and able to fight with both a bow and hand weapon of some sort (perhaps spear?). Would love to have a centaur as a playable character in my current game instead of just as a generic monster / enemy.

All right guys, it looks like the next creature will be a nice centaur then. It will have a bow, a spear and an armor that you'll be able to show / hide. It might take a little bit longer than usual to create this character as some outsourcing gig is also in the pipe.
    Cheers

Cool ... can't wait. Perhaps consider adding animations for it to rear up and kick with its front legs. Perhaps even an attack animation where he turns around kicks forward with his back legs?

hi there! The next free Add-On is on its way! :)
centaur will have a spear and a bow, 3 skinned meshes for the armor and another for the hair that developer can combine or not to give some more variation . Also some armor parts for the forearms and finally a helmet.

Hope you guys will like it once it'll be finished.
    Cheers :)

No real need for a sword in my view ... but what would be great would be some short range attacks with the spear. That way you attack animations that can be used when an enemy is up close.
