Here are quite some problems for you to fix unity...

    I have been encountering some problems recently with unity 2018 beta... By some I mean quite some problems... I will go through all of them now.

    1. Unity doesn't open a project first time I open it after bootup. I am windows 10 and after I bootup and open unity, it opens fine. But when I try to open a project, it just crashes... or just doesn't respond. In order for it to work, I have to force quit it using task manager and reopen it and it opens fine then. This happens everytime.

    2. UI Buttons don't register all clicks correctly. I have been working on a simple 2d game recently. I made the menu only till now and it worked fine on Unity 5.3.5 and now I updated to 2018 beta and what happens is some buttons work and some others have a sweet spot. I know exactly where that spot is. I have visualized the navigation of UI(that links) and when I click near where the lines connect the buttons, it doesnt register click. I am sure because I have used debug.log also. If i click away from the spot where the lines connect, it works. Also this is only for some buttons. Others are just fine.

    3. Cannot switch platform to android. I have been making games for only android since I started. And one of my project is a AR app and it worked fine in Unity 2017.1. Now I updated to 2018 beta and boom it opens in platform selected as PC. When I try to switch it to android, it reimports the assets and before it completes, It freezes! I have to forcequit it using task manager. And it opens fine next timebut still is in pc platform. Now I can't use that project.... GREAT

    4. Vuforia doesn't work. Yes you read it right. VUFORIA DOESNT WORK ANYMORE. As I said in point 3, I cant use it anymore(I could use it in unity 5.3.5 but i want a feature in unity 2018 in it.) so I started to remake it again in after making an empty project and switching to android. I made everything and I am ready to build it.

    5. Now comes another problem. I cant build ANYTHING to android. Yeah that's great I know. I tried everything to make it build. I tried creating empty project and building that but it doesnt even build that also. What a great thing! Ok lets continue our story of point 4. I gave the project to my friend who has windows 7 and unity 2018 and he got it built just fine. He built it and gave the apk to me and I tested it to see if it works. An to no surprise it doesnt work. I created another project with vuforia ar as simple as could and it doesn't work too...

    6. Thankfully this is the last major problem I have encountered besides many other minor problems. This is a bit of a weird problem. I wanted to make ar app so bad and vuforia doesnt want too work so I have tried to use arcore. And I wanted to test an already made project of it before I made anything. So I got a project from a youtube tutorial and when I try to open it... BOOM unity is loading the assets and it freezes for no reason. I have tried many times but same issue...

    7. All sprites don't appear in animation. I made some sprites for character animation. And when I create animation from those, some of sprites don't appear. They are just blank. They show up fine project window and animation window but when I play, they are gone... Because of that, animations appears like character is blinking. I have tried it with Unity 5.6 also and it's the same issue as well...

    WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON??? I have never experienced this much hassel with unity... I am seriously disappointed with unity now. I know its in beta only but I am not expecting this many major issues.

    NOTE: I CANNOT SUBMIT BUG REPORT because I couldn't find where the bug reporter is.

    Hope these things will get resolved and someone will reply me with solutions. Thank you unity.

    We should address this. Why can't you?

    Note: you're jumping from 5.3.5 to a beta which is probably a big jump. Have you tried updating to 2017.3 stable then doing the small hop to beta from there? It is much easier to see what needs fixing when upgrading to a stable release first.

    The bug reporter tool is an exe you can run from the Unity folder by the way :)

    Oh I have used 2017.1 and jumped to 2018 beta. And thanks for telling how to run the bug reporter. I couldn't find it so I said I can't post a bug report. :) I'll post it ASAP.

    I can confirm issue number 1.

    Open Unity, select a project, it will show you the loading bar for a little bit (something to do with packages) and after that loading bar goes away nothing happens.

    You have to relaunch unity, reselect your project and now on the second attempt it'll open properly.


    Happens every single time on my PC.

    Ok I just found problem number 7...

    I made some sprites for character animation. And when I create animation from those, some of sprites dont appear. They are just blank. They show up fine project window and animation window but when I play, they are gone... Because of that, animations appears like character is blinking. And I just found bug reporter and I am reporting it.

    The open project is broken also on Unity stable, so I guess it's a common issue.
    It was marked as fixed but seem it's still broken. I think you are referring to switching from one project to another, right?
    Since I have the auto load of last project, I need to use the alt button to open a different project.

    From past experience, it's really unlikely that Unity Technologies crawls through bug-lists posted in a forum thread. While it's nice of you to provide those reports, I think you might actually waste your own time by doing so.

    The proper way of reporting bugs is following the advice given in this document.

    Posting in the forum is often used to add attention to a certain bug, but does not replace submitting a bug-report for it first. UT wants us to post one issue per thread only, as documented in the beta guidelines.

    If these issues are important to you, you should submit a separate bug-report for each issue, otherwise UT might not (consider to) fix these issues.

    UT normally asks us to post the bug-report Case number in the forum thread, so they can pick up your reports faster. In case you want to do that.
