I too have the exact same problem!

 

I have same crash problem with latest beta (2020.1.0b8) and alpha (2020.2.0a9), but it's quite random and happens when pressing play button on editor (very hard to reproduce as it happens quite rarely)

I made a bug report: case 1244126

 

I followed the thread https://forum.unity.com/threads/unity-2019-3-6f1-reboot-my-macbook-pro.852106/#post-5618920
"Enable Metal support in Edit > Project Settings and search for Metal Editor Support checkbox and check it."
Once I did, my system stop reboot. However, I just did it and need to test it further... I saw reports of crashing because of OpenGL... Thought is because the upgrades without the needed setup in hardware integration.

Hi, I did the same and no more crashes, but with Metal enabled, I get constant lag spikes when running game in play mode. I reported that too (Case 1243604)
