I animated a male character walkcycle and brought it into Unity. Everything seems to work fine except that the eyes of the character don't move.

I opened the file in Maya, but everything seems to work fine in Maya.

How are you animating the eyes?
Are you using bones? Is it seperate objects? Please note that blend shapes are not imported, you have to use bones for facial animation.

It's using bones and separate objects. No blendshapes.

    Hiya...

Attached is a zipped .mb file that should show what is going on.

    Thanks!

NOTE: The file attached is a Maya 8 file.

Thanks for trying Targos! I'll chat with the artists and see if we can't get a Maya7 version up there as well.

I also edited the post with the file attached letting people know that it is a Maya8 file.

    Okay,

So we apparently do not have any versions of Maya laying around prior to 8 :)

So a .fbx file was exported and I have attached that in the zip. I hope it proves useful and look forward to any help!

I am on it. Its an issue where we are overeager in optimizing the imported file.
In this case the eyes are a skin cluster linking to only a single bone, which we are optimizing away incorrectly. Originally we implemented that to work around a bug in lightwave where it would add skin clusters to every single mesh it exports.
This is going to be fixed with 1.6.1. Or alternatively, you can combine some of the skin clusters into a single mesh. That will get rid of the problem.

Awesome Jo! Thanks for looking into it and great news to know it will be rolled into the 1.6.1 release.
