Is the rear view mirror in response to the number of times Devil Daggers made you rage quit?:D

Love the visual treatment! Reminds me of the treatment used in Fight Knight. How'd you do that?
    Good luck with KS.

So the rear view mirror came from the frustration of multiplyer games actually. I hate it when in MP games, if someone sees you before you see them, you lose.
The rear view mirror was a joke answer to that but the more i thought about it as a mechanic, the more it made sense.

The visual style is a few post processes mixed with normal & specular maps.

Glad you are enjoying the visual style!

Looks promising! I like the bold use of red in many of the environments. The description of the game makes me think a lot of Painkiller. Best of luck with your campaign!

I like this kind of style, but I suspect this will not sell well. Psychedelic, retro shooters are FAR from mainstream.

It seems that you have hard time making interesting enemies. Everything just floats around and it looks a bit boring.

149 (so far) backers seem to think otherwise. :) This is a niche product and should (un-researched guess) recoup at least x2-3 the requested KS funds. The great thing about indie devs (us) is we can create non-mainstream games that become popular to a subset of players that find more enjoyment in games that are not mainstream.
If compared to the most comparable game already released - it should do well.
