(not sure if this is the right place to post this thread.)

Hello, i am new to C# and unity. I have been completing the beginner series of tutorials in Unity Learn and have been having loads of fun. I recently completed the "Ruby's 2D Adventure" tutorial and learned quite a bit. However, i noticed that the tutorial did not cover things such as creating and implementing a quest system. I know that these learn projects are meant to only teach you the basics of unity and C#, however i would like to learn how to setup quests for this project as i would like to make this into a "complete" game. One with a short story, mission, and ending. Complete with a start menu and and end screen.

I am aware of the "Creator Kit: RPG" project course and have completed that as well, however that course came with a questing system already installed and no instructions on how to script one of your own, i would be happy to use one similar to that one if there is anywhere i can learn to program it myself.

If anyone could direct somewhere that i can learn how to setup a quest system, one that i can preferably work into the Ruby tutorial i would really appreciate it.

Also, i am looking for something free or low cost if at all possible as well.

    Thank you for your time!

    Hello @MarshallMedia,

Depending on the type of quest system that you need, there is a lot of possibilities.

But one tutorial that you can check and follow is made by Brakeys, they usually make tutorials with good quality:

My recommendation for you is to go and check how the quest system is done on the "Creator Kit: RPG" and start trying to change parts of the system and experimenting a little bit in order to learn better about it.

Following a tutorial is a good way to start, but the next logical step is to try things by yourself that are not part of any tutorial and ask for help anytime you get stuck.

    Happy learning!

Thank you for your reply. I actually did try to study the quest script in the creator kit rpg and could understand some of it, but ill admit a lot of it confused me as i am still fairly early in my studies of C#. That said, i will give it another try though. Thank you for the information!
