Hello! Im new! :-D Want to make a 2d 8direction beat em up

Hello i dont know anything about programing and i tought to try out Unity. Ive tryed other game maker programs but i felt they had limitations. My goal is to make a Beat em up like Final Fight but with high detail in 2d. Any tips besides that i learn C programing?

 

If you really don't know anything about programming, then you probably need to get some basic concepts under your belt before you embark on your Beat 'em Up game.

There's lots and lots of tutorials on the web, but the Unity stuff is as good a place as any to start.

C programming ? More like C#...

I recommend you pluralsight introductions to C# and Unity. They are about 5-10 hours of video tutorial and they introduce you to all the basics and stuff in order to start creating games in Unity.

 

I agree with all of the above advice. And when you do get back to working on your beat-em-up game, you might find my article on 2D animation useful.
