Hello Guys! Newbie here needing tips!

Hello!

I'm very new to Unity and C#.. I want to make a 2D Metroidvania game for me and my friends to enjoy on our Android devices.
I watched YouTube videos and tutorials and know the very basics of starting up Unity such as project settings, build settings, etc.
I'm thinking of practicing how to code player movement because I would like the player character to move just like Julius Belmont (for you know, learning the basics of character movement).

Do you have any tips?
