    Hey there.
Im looking all over for some help.
Ive tried almost everything, but i cant get my objects in my scene to cast a shadow thru a volumetric lightning.

Its a directional light that is the only light source.
    I have post processing activated.
And ive made a density field with volume.
    ive seen both brackeys tut:

    Sykoos tut:

    and Dilmers tut:

Its a space scene where i want the asteroids to cast the shadow from the volumetric light coming from the directional light that is positioned slightly infront of the player.
here is an example of how i would like to have it:

is there a tutorial that covers my needs or do someone know a way to do this?

please, im going out of my mind, and valueble time is wasting =)

Ive remade my scene so many times, and im still doing it. i think you have done what i havent been able. i want those god rays coming from anywhere, not just from directly forward. as the dimmer light tends to blend the player.

I would very much like to know what you did to get those results.
Im after the god ray effects. as they wont work for me like you are showing.
and you said something about you fixed it by increasing the render distance.
what did you mean about that?

First you must setup volumetric light in scene settings and visual environment.
    Then I place destiny volume.

When my camera has draw distance 10000000000 - I was not able to see shadows in camera view.
When I setup my camera draw distance less that 10000 - I finally was able to see shadows.

Send to me pictures of scene settings and I will able to examine your settings.

Try add Destiny Volume with 3d noise textures.

did you mean that i should put noise on the directional light?

and i think you need to start calling Density Volume, not destiny ;)

@BATTLEKOT Hello there, what you use for 3D texture generation? Going to use this for fog noise effect for the city :)

I kind of feel that a few selection of sample 3d textures should be included by default.
