    Added 95 new tree models

    Update 2.2 (April 2022):

    This pack contains a large number of 3D tree models in different types.


    This pack is made as a 3d model (fbx) so that you can easily use them in any pipeline or software.


    Note: This is the first release. the new tree models will be added in the next updates. Follow updates


    The models are all professionally made with high quality textures and models


    You can find the executable example for Windows here

    Triangles: 7.000 ~ 15.000

    These look great! Just picked this up and I would like to use it for URP. What shaders do you suggest for the bark and leaf in URP? Or is there an easy way to covert them? Thanks!

    I will try it on the URP in the future... I always use the standard /lit shaders... I will make new shaders with translucency for URP and standard pipeline
    I don't have wind shader for now
    Shader is not too much important to have a realistic look.. the textures and colors are more important
    You can customize colors and textures using adobe photoshop or other software to have different looks... I will make more tutorials and trees
    Also you can use the Simplygon to optimize for other platforms or pipelines:

    Also you can use the Simplygon to optimize poly counts for other platforms or pipelines or generate billboards

    All tree models has been Unwrapped using Maya LT without overlapping + real 3d double sided faces for leaves in 3d model (don't needs double sided shader)

    Lit shader + alpha clipping... This is the original released asset just switched the shader and use some post processing and lighting setup

    One of the things that users always go wrong is that they want to do everything inside shaders ...
    You can use Adobe Photoshop as an offline shader creating tool. Photoshop is basically a shading program using CG program that delivers the final result in the form of an image.
    All Photoshop effects are shaders: such as Blur, Sharpen, Color grading ...
    So instead of using real-time shaders (like graph graph), you can simply create your own texture in Photoshop and save the final result and connect it to the Albedo output of the shader graph...
    Things you can do offline:
    - Color change
    - Texture changes (sharpen, blur and ...)
    - Soften edges
    - Snow effects
    - and much more
    But some things need to be done in real time: like the foliage's wind animation
    For this purpose, you can use the standard Unity Shader + Vertex Animation in the Shader Graph ... There are many tutorials on the Internet.
    You can also use translucency in real time ...

    SO you must focus on the texture customizing inside photoshop... I did this in my package so the final look of leaves are very beautiful

    @UnityLighting Hey, am I able to use these trees with a terrain wind zone? I've tried settin the trees within the Terrain editor to a Bend Factor of 1, and then added a WindZone to my scene. I played around with the settings and it doens't seem to cause any movement.

    Terrain's wind system is old. It only works only on the Tree Creator trees. My tree models are fbx format.
    So you can use other wind shaders. For example MTree 's wind shader and scripts are excellent for every tree models (My tree models are not made using MTree)
    I tested MTree shaders and works fine with every tree models with a super realistic wind quality
    Also a lot of other shaders are available for wind effect in the net

    Thanks for letting me know. I have The Vegitation Engine, so I'll see how well that asset works with your trees.

    So The Vegitation Engine would work great, but I'm noticing weird shadowing and seperation on the leaves. When the leave motion begins it seperates from the leaf branch. I opened your fbx in Maya, and I noticed that your leaves are doubled. Was there a reson for that? I opened the Palm_2_7 fbx. I think the weird jitter motion is because the double leaves move seperately from each other.

    @UnityLighting So I removed the underside of each leaf and used a URP Lit with alpha and double sided. that fixed the shadowing issue, but it did not fix the leave seperating from the leaf branches. Not sure if thats a modeling issue or a TVE issue.

    Yes i have used double faces. Because it has better normal face and better rendering than double sided shader
    I read this on the UE4 forums.
    I found the proper shader settings for this. I will check it on unity too
    As you can see the MTree wind shader works fine:

    At 01:20 of above video, as you can see, double sided shader has no proper lighting compare to the double sided faces in 3d model. This is the face's normal issue in the single sided faces for leaves
    Animating branches is not a simple thing. I have no experience for that at this time:)

    Thanks for the video and how you set your trees up. I'm not familar at all with foliage modeling, but in any case your trees look great!

    You might want to get The Vegetation Engine at some point, since it's a popular asset and I'm sure a lot of people would want to see your trees working correctly with that.

    I was working on the UE4 version of the trees, which was not approved by the it's marketplace !!!
    And now I'm working on completing the Unity version exclusively

    Also TVE has a tree example and it was created with TreeIt. Maybe that could help figure out how they model their trees, and best of all TreeIt is free.

    I have worked with a lot of tree creators and finally i found the Tree It the best for geometry creation. It's a bit hard to learn and mastering, but the final tree's geometry is excellent
    And the Leaf texture is the most important part of a realistic tree... You can make it using Adobe Photoshop
    Already i have used MTree but the Tree IT has more options... But has a bit hard workflow!
