HDRP reflection probe hard edge no blending.

    HDRP reflection probes set to sphere do not fade out. To make it fade out, I have to put inspector into debug mode and use the box blend tools.

    Otherwise sphere reflection probes have a hard edge. Is this simply due to a lack of editor UI tooling?

    Yeah I just set the normal edge fade in box mode and when you change it back the blend works. But this is an old bug for an old HDRP version. If you update, this should not be an issue any more.
