Are there any plans for improving the HDRP Physically Based Sky? Any chance that something is planned for 2023 releases?

There are many things discussed in the PBS related thread. @SebLazyWizard posted a lot of specific improvements there. There are many suggestions from other users too. Most discussed stuff is related to things like atmospheric scattering, fog, default brightness/exposure, banding, negative sun angle support (civil, nautical and astronomical twilights), day and night transition, multiple scattering etc.

    Hi,

We plan to make improvement for night sky and few other thing like time of day transition for 2023, there is a lot of good suggested improvement in the linked thread and we are aware of it, still we are limited on resources and can't afford to make all of them. We are proceeding by steps.

    Great to hear that.

Do you plan to implement the night sky into the PBS component and extend it or will it be a separate component/object?
