Hard Xorg crashes caused by editor, seem to often coincide with enlighten starting(?)

I'm not sure there is something you can do about this since it's probably a driver bug, but I just wanted to let you know this problem exists:

It seems Unity triggers hard Xorg crashes caused by editor, which often seem to coincide with enlighten starting(?). It's somewhat sporadic and often occurs after 2-3 hours of steady editor usage, but there's barely a day where it doesn't crash at least once.

Since it takes down the entire desktop it's somewhat of a nuisance..
