As I was informed by the Unity support teams regarding this question, the pricing for some of Unity's new services scale with the used features (CCU, bandwidth, etc.), and charges occur once the "free" tier is consumed. It currently seems to be impossible to only use the free tier of these services. I was informed, that for the "Cloud Build 2.0" service, the user can set a soft and hard cap, giving him or her full control over the expenses.
My question is: Is there something like a "hard cap" for the networking services (for example the lobby service) that allows me to ensure, that no costs are generated? If not, I would suggest such a feature. This would make the use of these new services more accessible, especially for hobby developers and non-profit projects.
