Ground Plane alternative

Hi,

I'm making an AR platformer game. Before the game starts the player has to tap the screen to spawn the platformer (once) in the room. I was planning to do this with the ground plane, but it's not supported by my phone (OnePlus 5). So I'm looking for another way to do this but didn't find it yet.

If anyone could help, would be much appreciated!

You could wait a little longer because Vuforia (Fusion) Ground Plane tracking will support more and more devices over time. I didn't know the OnePlus 5 but Googling it gives me the impression that it's a decent phone. Should soon be supported by Ground Plane tracking.
