    Hello!

We are a small indie team and we are pleased to present our current project: "Gray Dawn".

Gray Dawn is a mobile game with sort of a dramatic touch, aiming mostly for an exploration experience.

Altough this video was captured from a desktop build (beeing easier to screen-record this on desktop), this is exactly how it looks on mobile.

Please let us know what you think.
What do you think about the controls.
If you'd like, we could try to upload an apk for you to play!

Might just be me, but the video seems very choppy over here.. if you are recording in something like camtasia you might try fraps instead. Otherwise, game looks great.

Thank you! Wickedfast Solutions, we used Mac OS special recording software. We know it is not the best. Also it is not showing the real colors. In reality the gamma is more intense.

I just want to show you a few in engine screens from the actual map and ask what do you think about our idea of using this quality for making trailers or publishing materials. It is important for us to know, because there's a small difference between the quality of the actual game and those images (and that consists in the fact that those were not light-mapped). I see that many games do it, for example the great "Dishonored": the trailer is hyper-realistic while the in game visuals got a different art direction. So, what do you think?

We would like to have this quality in the actual game (we don't have specular mapshere but we know that the shininess is kind of all over the place...) , but after we do the lightmaps, we are loosing the nice specular and a lot from the bumpiness. So, if you have a solution for this, please tell us!

    Thanks a lot!

Thanks! If you can't, you can use free model packs to make your game. :)

Also check out the collaboration forum. Add a post and have something to show (gameplay) to get some attention about your project. Don't give up!

Oh - Gray Dawn looks beautiful. I didn't see hardly and action/interaction in the video though, other than fly through material. Keep at it!

Thanks for the feedback! We are now creating all the maps, meanwhile preparing the combat sistem for some weird monsters :).

    Hello again!
We want to show you a few screens from the new map!
    6.png 3.png 1.png 4.png 2.png

    * We changed the UI and also the HUD, to give you more information about your stats.

    * Concerning the idea, we found interesting a bit of "Dear Esther" touch + combat (on mobile something like "Dear Esther" would be boooring). Although the main idea is not that coherent, we think that experiencing someone's delirium may be a way of telling a story.

    * We also want to make the game more rewarding, so we added a few items that will make you look badass. We tried to use the idea of having a broken transceiver taped on the drone that will start making noise when enemies are close, like in "Silent Hill". What do you think? Is it unfair?

    * We've also worked on the interaction with the environment: now you can destroy walls, objects to reveal secret passages all around the world.

    * Sorry for the gizmo. :)
