    Hi everybody!
I've finally released my first game on Steam Greenlight - http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=774713517
    Web demo - http://www.konstructors.com/wayout_demo.html

After 3 days i have only 600 page views and 200+ upvotes. Don't really understand why, logo-gif is pretty nice (as for me), so, at least, we could get some views, but.. what do you think? What's the problem here?
No promo was done except posts in fb gamedev groups.

Feel free to give your feedback, good or bad, i will really appreciate it!
    Thanks!

    Hey man,

I also JUST put my game up on greenlight--a puzzle golf game (http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=775184417)

In less than 24 hours we've gotten around the same. In fact I was looking pretty closely at your game while I was finalizing my campaign assets. (I've gone ahead and voted for your game ;) it looks pretty sweet)

Something that helped me tremendously was basically going door to door with people and asking them to vote/favorite/share. So when you say no promo was done except in fb game dev groups, I think that is a big part of it. In start-ups there's the idea of the friends, family, and fools phase and it's something you should capitalize on. This means getting all of your friends and family to upvote it because it's something you made--a lot of people will do just that..

In general though, through the research I've done--puzzle games do seem to have a harder time on greenlight and the Yes/No ratio sits on the lower end of the 30-60% ratio lots of games get

@Wuzseen , thanks for your feedback!
Yes, that's actually what i'm doing right now, going from door to door and asking for feedback, but i don't really have so much friends to keep my greenlight page alive.. but that's another problem :D

You'll probably get some traffic from here. Have you attempted to advertise in puzzle specific communities, or attract puzzle game youtubers?
I think the issue you are having with the numbers - the game is niche casual puzzler. So the population who are interested in that game on steam is low. And some may see it and think - this could be a mobile game. That may have a slight negative opinion of the game from a select group of gamers on steam.

Have you considered other platforms? I think you could seriously put that on mobile and/or even facebook - successfully. Although I'd wait a while until steam has run it's course.

What is the price point you are aiming at upon release on steam?

@theANMATOR2b we are definitely will be going on mobile, game itself is for sure more suited for mobile/facebook, just wanted to see reaction on Steam.

Planning to sell it for $0.99.

My first impression is these kind of puzzle games look like they are more suited to mobile or the web game portals.
I think most folks go to Steam looking for games that provide a (hopefully) rich experience, more action (although that could also be something like a Horror game, a sort of story experience, etc). Basically a "bigger" experience. Something with a little more interaction / experience than just clicking on things (that is the part that makes it seem well suited for mobile).

However, I think you can reach some people on Steam with such puzzle games. Just realize this is a super niche game. You'd want to price this game much higher than 99 cents. That is a mobile game price and on Steam I think many people would automatically think this game at such a low price = mobile junk (as so many of the Steam Community says). For a super niche game like this think of pricing at least $10 or more. This will also be very important because it will likely only appeal to a very tiny number of Steam gamers.

If someone really finds the game interesting they will spend $10 on it as easily as they'd spend $1 on it. What $1 typically would give is a bad impression of the game (must be junk) to your real target audience while at the same time prompting more people buying it who shouldn't have bought it and there are your negative reviews. That's just based on "life" and pricing in general.

This is an example of the kind of puzzle game I think is more suited to Steam.
If you have something like this (or better... more) I think it can do very well.
In this case, we are looking at a $100k+ game (he priced the game at $30).

Congrats on getting on Steam. Steamspy shows your game's "owners" as 19,962 (plus or minus 4,025) ... is that fairly accurate? How well is it actually selling?
