Feedback Grass has a worse and different look when placed as a terrain detail mesh

    edit: this ended up being a bug, disabling light layers from HDRP asset fixes it. It's fixed in later 2021 versions as well.

    Tbh I was wondering this myself, I tried their shaders and my own, and it's always much darker than how it should actually look so I'm guessing it must be something in the settings or the details are still broken?

    I think that's just how it's made -- it forces its own shader on all the grass, which I feel is a bit crazy.
    Some third-party assets do what detail object does, while keeping your shaders intact (so you get what you actually made) and with better shadows.

    But what is the actual shader thou? I would use that in the end if I feel like not dealing with this.
