Question Google Play Store Submission App Not Compliant

    Hello everyone,

    It's been 2 weeks that I'm trying to publish a unity game on the Google Play Store. Every time I send the app to review, I get an email:

    Your app is using the Unity SDK which collects but may not be limited to Android ID and Advertising ID identifiers. Persistent device identifiers may not be linked to other personal and sensitive user data or resettable device identifiers.

    You may consider moving to another SDK; removing this SDK; or if available from your SDK provider, upgrading to a policy-compliant version of this SDK that does not include the violating code.

    According to the information provided by your SDK provider, you may consider upgrading to 4.0.1. Please consult the SDK provider for further information.

    My app does not include any Ads package (I removed all of them) nor tracking package (maybe Firebase...). I searched for every occurences of any ads package in the build folder, nothing.... I still don't understand why I get this email. Also, I updated my Unity to 2022.2.21.

    Does anyone know what should I do? Or do I need to fill any request on the Google Play Console?

    I checked and tested on every sites (google forums, unity forums, ...) with no solution :(

    Hi @dim971,

    Sorry to hear that you're having an issue with your submission. Could you confirm the version of the Analytics SDK you're using? We recommend upgrading to the latest version, v4.4.2, to ensure compliance with policies. This update should address the concerns raised by Google Play Store.

    The issue is common Google related.

    Try a publishing to a chinese company instead.

    Try changing your email address or use a VPN and publish from a different nation. USA, Japan or Germany.

    Thank you for your help.

    I don't even have the Analytics SDK installed :( (I uploaded a screenshot of my packages installed)

    I probably should mention that I try to publish from France (if that can help)

    [EDIT] I updated my Unity to 2023.1.0b19, same rejection from Google :(:(

    Alright...I figured it out....I'm trying to release in production my game which is completely Google compliant...BUT there was a binary uploaded in the Closed Testing section of the Play Console that is not compliant. It was the very first build I uploaded (I'm not familiar with Google Play Console process, I was kind of discovering it 2 weeks ago...I'm more an iOS developer...anyway).

    The thing is, there were absolutely no information about the location of the issue. That too bad, the Google interface is sooo unintuitive for developers.

    Well, if anyone is in the same situation, that might can help :)
