Google Play PolicyBytes - Spring 2020 (Resource Downloads)

    I was wondering if this new policy update from Google Play has any impact on how we load remote content into the game by using addressables or asset bundles.

    In this video
    it says:
    • additional app resources may only be downloaded if they are necessary
    • before beginning the download, the app should prompt users and clearly disclose the download size

    I usually load graphic resources in the background during the start of the game or while playing to create a smooth user experience. Does that mean that with the new updates I need to prompt the user before I do that?

    What do you guys think about this new update?
