    Hello,

the last days, I tried the Google Cardboard with Unity. I used a Samsung Note 4 which I also used for the Gear VR.
But no matter what I am doing, I get only around 40fps with a basic scene (Cube, Plane & Cardboard Camera Prefab).
As soon as I replace the Cardboard Camera Prefab with a single not moving camera I get around 60 fps (which is the maximum on the Note 4).

I also tried another android phone but also there: same resullt. I didn't tried an ios device.

What am I doing wrong here?
I don't believe that the Note 4 is not powerful enough, but I also can't believe that Google is releasing a Unity integration which is not working correctly.

Maybe anyone with same issues? Or with some advice?

    best regards

    Hey there,

I had similar issues once I upgraded to Unity 5. I found that the global illumination was the cause for my frame rate drop. Maybe ensure that you have that disabled?

    Best of luck to you!
