Google Cardboard and stereoscopic panorama

Hello!

I want to build a basic stereoscopic panorama viewer for the google cardboard. I did that before with an older Cardboard Unity Plugin but now I want to use the current one.

Has anyone experience with the current Cardboard integration?
I dropped the "GvrViewerMain" Prefab in the scene, made two spheres, one displays the left image, the other sphere the right image. Each of the cameras render one sphere.
But it looks strange and blurry, as if the two panoramas doesn't match. I tried it with the left and right camera at position 0,0,0 and also with the pre defined x offset of 0.032.
I actually don't know that I am doing wrong, maybe someone can help.

Have you found a solution? I'm using Unity 5.4 with Google VR SDK for Cardboard, EasyMovieTexture plugin to play the video, and have the same problem with the panoramas that don't match and seem slightly off.

I've tried centering the two spheres on the left and right cameras (and following the positions of the cameras, which move when the user looks around) instead of having them both at 0,0,0 but that didn't help.

The videos seem to be slightly out of sync. I'm using one 2048x2048 video, but two materials with different tiling offsets. Maybe they don't load at the exact same time.

- create two spheres with different UV maps, one that maps to the top of the texture, one that maps to the bottom (in 3D Studio Max or similar)

- use one video material on both spheres
