Google analytics with unity to gather data for game across all platforms

hi all,

just wondering; is it all possible to use google analytics to gather data about a game just like you would do for a website?

I've been using the unity analytics but am now in need of being able to send monthly reports automatically to various email address and can't seem to do this from unity. I'm thinking if i can get the analytics via google analytics then I know I can do that from there but everything I've googled seems to be for ios or android but I'd like to gather data about standalone/desktop too.

I'm sure the set up wont be as easy as setting it up for a website but im curious as to if it's possible and what sort of data I can get and so on.

Any help in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
