Bug Goo Ball VFX demo does not render VFX decals in Unity 2022.2 and 2022.3

1. Install Goo Ball demo from git repository (https://github.com/Unity-Technologies/VisualEffectGraph-Samples/tree/master/Assets/Samples/GooBall).
2. Change Unity version of the project to Unity 2022.2 or 2022.3 (tested in 2022.2.21f1 and 2022.3.0f1).
3. Observe decals on the floor and walls (they do not render both in editor and in play mode).


P.S. All my other VFX decal got broken as well. Ordinary decals seem to render fine. I was not able to render decals with a VFX system in newer Unity versions no matter how hard I tried.

 

We are experiencing the exact same issue on 2023 as well

 

I was told that Unity devs know about it and the fix is already done - we should expect to see it in the next version of Unity LTS

 

Unity, this bug still persists on 2022.3.5f1. Are you even going to fix it? It's a big deal guys.

 

I do understand your frustration, but going full hostile is not going to help you one bit. Shouting at the Unity employees from whom you seek help it probably not going to speed up the solution. BTW, did you file an official but report? I know you said they mentioned "it is being fixed", but I think a bug report might make sure it ends up in an official queue somewhere.
