    God Caster is the world's first digital trading game card based on national myths and new standard of game play. This will be a magical fantasy game with original characters, plus gods representing all cultures around the world, from the Greek to the Vietnamese.

    The interactive online game lets one play against real people and is packed with action and dynamics. The work-in-progress images released reveal a complex graphic art in pleasant tones and with an overall “cute, playful and magical” style.

    God Caster is now live on Steam and Square Enix Collective, join us to receive a free super gift pack and digital limited edition Art Book!

    The Characters

    In God Caster, players are Caster who can summon the card. Player can collect the god or monster card specific to their own country. Each card can then be upgraded up to the 7thlevel or merged with another one. The game enables fusions between these. Thus, Zeus can fusion with Odin for example, creating a new divinity with the merged traits and skills of both. The other characters designs stand out especially through their heart-shaped nose. Also, different moments within the game allow for customizations and enhancements and a lots of crazy function.

    Features

    The game is customized and advanced through different items and features, like the following:

    · Unique game play: be active to take Myth Pan (mana) for summoning.

    · Surprise and rare items to be picked quickly along with the Myth Pan;

    · Evolve – any card in the game can be upgraded;

    · Fusion – merge two gods or even two elements;

    · New kind of card: “Food” support cards;

    · Environment – affects the player's card in several ways;

    · Job: various jobs can be chosen, such as angel, devil, titan, elf, human.

    · Master skills – get new strategies for battle;

    · Toys – distract and annoy rivals.

    · Fashion, Geography, Awaken etc. functions;

    So you've made a game where some people's Gods will be stronger than other people's Gods......I can't imagine how that would possibly end very badly.

    Jesus was nailed to the cross, and Thor carries around a hammer.
    Jesus promised an end to wicked people. Thor promised an end to frost giants. I don't see any frost giants around anywhere.
    So Thor easily beats Jesus right in your game right?

    Potentially offensive humor aside, I didn't see much gameplay in your trailer. I saw a lot of polish, but I didn't see a lot of what was being polished.

    Have you spoken with competitive TCG players? Do you understand why a game like YuGiOh makes the choices it does? Why Magic the Gathering makes the choices it does? Do you understand the steps that Hearthstone took to mitigate the design flaws of MTG? Do you have people on your team who understand the difference between high level competitive play, and low level casual play?

    Do you know how to make a good power curve?
    What are you doing to mitigate the advantage that going first has?
    Do all cards require the same mana to play, or are types of mana different like MTG?
    Can you play strong cards from your hand on turn 1 like YuGiOh, or do you need to play weaker cards until you've built up resources like MTG or Hearthstone?
    Can a player run ANY card in their deck, or are they limited to types like Hearthstone?
    When you say it's a TRADING card game, are you actually allowing players to trade cards with each other? Many popular TCGs don't do that. You might be able to find a niche, but surely they forbid it for good reason.
    Can abilities be countered? If so, have you resolved how timing and spell/ability speeds work?
    What phases are there? Are you following the standard standby, draw, main1, battle, main2, end formula?
    How do players obtain new cards?
    If only 3 cards of a type can be in a deck, will the player ever get more than 3 of a card?
    Can players trade in / dismantle / recycle weaker cards for points towards other cards?
    Will you be including synergy abilities?
    How are you limiting people's ability to obtain absurd amounts of card advantage?
    How are you limiting people's ability to build their deck only with the strongest cards?
    Do you have cards which search the deck, thin the deck, draw more cards, discard to graveyard, reshuffle, recycle, etc?
    Will you have any cooperative modes allowing friends to team up against the AI or other player controlled teams?
    How do you plan to handle disconnects?
    How viable are removal cards? They're pretty important
    How viable are burn cards? Too powerful and they'll be the main thing that is run. Too weak and nobody will use them.
    Are there alternate means of winning other than dealing damage or decking people? Any Exodia combos? Any DEATH traps?
    Are you taking any steps to prevent players from forming an infinity engine?
    How about the language? Anybody who plays MTG regularly will tell you that you need to practically be a lawyer to play. There are real in game implications that rely on the difference between sacrifice, destroy, destroy in battle. There are implications on what constitutes the cost of an ability vs what part is the effect. There are implications on what cards you allow to be targeted, and which can't be targeted. The language is a very big part of many TCGs. Some language makes cards good in 1v1 matches, while others are very powerful in FFA or Team matches.

    I like the visual of your game, but there has to be a solid foundation underneath it. I hope that you or somebody on your team has taken a look at and understands the complexities inherent in TCG games.

    Hope we can get a demo/beta soon so we can see the actual mechanics and balancing at work.

    Cheers.
