    Hi everyone,

I've have made small network project using HLAPI it works fine if I run two copies on my machine
I've opened port ( TCP + UDP ) on my router and tested it as well but I can not get my friend to connect from another machine

maybe your friend needs to unlock the port/s? have you tried to connect to your own server by using your external IP (not LAN)? in the first case, hakuna matata. in the second case, you want to set your firewall rules properly... i think.

connecting to my external IP doesn't work either. I'm getting UNet Client Disconnect Error: Timeout
I've added rules for windows firewall as well
note: simple http server works fine on that port ( UDP is open too )

Can anyone confirm that Unity free edition networking works outside LAN network ?
