Gizmos not obscuring in scene view

    Hello,

    Usually when moving around the scene view gizmos fade out / get nicely obscured by meshes:



    However in one scene I've been working in all gizmos seem to constantly render on top and no longer get obscured:

    Does anyone know why this might be happening?


    Also, I'm having trouble adding GIFs to posts here. Although they appear fine in edit view, they appear as a broken link in the posted message.

    I've narrowed this down to when a standard Unity camera is active in the scene:



    I still don't understand why / how this would impact gizmos in edit mode.

    Bump, this is extremely annoying. Issue is unsolved for several years now
