    It looks nice, good job.

How many polygons? How many different materials (once it's all textured)?

Thanks, it has 5,700 polys is that too high? (kinda new to game modeling (I was a 3d artist). I plan on lowering the poly count and try to get it under 3,000 or so. I plan on baking the textures and all that, with 2-4 different themes in mind, I will use all the different types of maps, bump, spec, ect... All the textures will be 2048x2048. As for different materials I want to get it around 3 or less.

5700 doesn't sound too bad. 3000 definitely sounds better. :)

5700 polys is not bad, but depends on how much texture quality you show. Also make a LOD version of 3000 polys with diffuse, normal and spec maps as Jaimi said !

Okay, yeah I plan on make a LOD version also with around 3,500 poly's or less. The other version would be around 5,000 poly's. I plan on doing 2-4 different themes with, diffuse, normal, and spec maps. Like I said I plan on using 2048x2048 with a high detail quality on the textures.

I'm switching over from high detail modeling for movies/animations to game modeling so sorry for my lack of knowledge on this stuff...
    - Thanks for the tips and advice guys!

5700 is by far OK, even 20k would be OK (+LODs of course), 20K poly in main LOD is current per character standard. We are in 2013, current HW can render millions of polys in scene. I am curious when these "less polygons plz" people will wake up and notice this. In my game we are using models even with 200-300k polys (+LODs, in few instances per scene) and it has very little performance impact on current HW.

If anybody is producing for mobiles, there can be some junky low poly version, but dont cripple good work because of this people.

I think the approximate polycount for a game level on mobile would be 100-200thousand polys (I guess the same figures goes for web) - so w 30percents for vehicles it would be around 7 of them w this polycount. for this kind of vehicle I would go for 2-3k polycount

the polycount for pc/mac could be million polys, not sure
