I really like the looks of the new NavMesh components
    https://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/NavMesh-BuildingComponents.html
    -NavMeshSurface
    -NavMeshModifier
    -NavMeshModifierVolume
    -NavMeshLink

Does anybody know why they are on Github and not part of base Unity install? Are these navigation components under development and/or subject to change/removal?

    Thanks.

Often how Unity does things is first develop stuff in github, a sort of "beta" form - and then eventually add it to the actual Unity.

As for this specific feature, who knows how long it will take. It could take a year or two.

Any updates on the release of these components? I don't see it on the Unity Roadmap.

I believe they are a package available if you are using 2019.1
