Extension aims to speed up design and prototyping process of flat locations, levels, stages, reduces the need for selecting objects and switching between manipulators, making all manipulators accessible at the same time.

    Features:
    • Automatic saving of all work in a separate, resulting clean, prefab.
    • Special manipulators for editing floors and walls.
    • Support for various types of wall endings and quick switching between them.
    • Snapping to grid on move and angle snapping on rotation.
    • Manipulators visibility controls.
    • Switching between sets of objects to change design style.

Available in Asset Store for free

This is my first package, I'm sorry in advance if you run into any issues. I will try to fix them or give you some advice if you can describe how to reproduce them. I will also try to keep it updated for the current version of Unity.

I have no plans to evolve it, it should be simple, but if it becomes popular enough, maybe I will develop an advanced version, have some thoughts on this. Floors editing should be much more flexible, walls building could be much easier, waypoints editing for moving objects or patrolling units, switching between building stages or parts of locations, replacing used prefabs when switching between sets as a change of level skin, and so on.

I would be grateful for any feedback about it!

This looks really useful, especially with the upcoming 7DFPS game jam. Is it possible to adjust floor height as well? Having height change between different rooms would help make levels more interesting and less flat.

Yes, you can simply move parent prefab, or move some tiles in a regular way, if you meant that.

    Thanks for feedback!

I'm sure I'm missing something obvious, but is this just a proto-typing tool, or can I attach my own gameobject/models/prefabs to your buttons and make my own levels with my own product, or is it set to only use your prefabs/models?

I've seen unity do a video on this but itwas to complex for me to make myself.

    Change "assetPath" to "prefabAssetPath".

Under the folder "Samples" you'll find another one called "Sets". There are two example sets (which are the ones you are using for the example scene.) One is for the walls, floor, etc. and the other is for props inside the building. You can duplicate those two sets and change the assets out. Then drag and drop the new sets into the Level Designer window.

It is 2020.1 breaking change if i remember right, you should see this if imported to earlier version. Change it as StevenPicard suggested.
In addition to Steven Picard's answer, check Documentation.pdf, i wrote short quick start guide there, and some notes that is helpful if you going to use package.

There is no such functionality, but I think it can be combined with bakers from other packages

This looks great. Thanks for sharing. Has anyone had luck using this on Mac? I can rotate managed objects as expected, but the other controls/handles do not work. I did manage to extend a floor once by finding a selectable area off to the side of the target object in the empty void - almost as though input was mirrored along an axis. I've tried a few different editor versions and Mac vs PC (as in the video) is my only guess as to a possible suspect. That or some Unity setting I'm missing?

Have you tried creating new empty project, importing package to it and opening Sample scene? How does it behave?
I just checked it using these versions: Mac 2020.2.0f1, Mac 2020.2.6f1, Win 2020.2.1f1, Win 2020.2.6f1, Win 2020.2.7f1
Mac 2020.2.0f1 and Win 2020.2.1f1 is working as expected.
Mac 2020.2.6f1, Win 2020.2.6f1, Win 2020.2.7f1 crashes after using floor resizing manipulator. I will investigate it if 8f1+ crashes too, but everything except floor resizing is working as it should.
