So I'm building a scene and while the GI normally took a couple minutes to bake, now it's estimating 23 hours and climbing. I've been doing a new bake after roughly every 6-12 objects I add. I'm going to start deleting objects to try and see if it's one of them causing it, but I don't really know how an object would do this so if anyone has any ideas, I'd be grateful for the info so I can try to avoid it in the future.

Oh, and I'm on 2020.3.3f1, HDRP, Progressive GPU on an 17 8700k with 64GB ram and an 8GB RTX 2070.

    if its GPU:
Clear your bake, clear your GI cache, restart unity editor after that is done. Once restarted, try the bake and it should solve the issue

There were some bugs with this and its better in later releases and alphas, but the issue still crops up. In previous releases this would happen alot.

    Lastly:
Double check the GPU baker isn't switching to CPU

Thanks. Not sure if that would have helped but what oddly worked for me was removing the last object from my scene and re-baking. Took it only about 45 seconds to re-bake. I then added the object back and it still bakes just fine, so really kinda odd in my mind. Not sure if there's a technical reason for why that might have worked. I'll keep your suggestion in mind if I encounter this again.
