Hi guys, I recently released and environment pack and have had no sales so far.

So i guess my first question is how do i get my asset pack on the front page of the store? I need some more visibility. Also, any comments on how to increase sales will be very much appreciated!

    Regards

Your asset definitively looks promising (it is in my wish list!).
Yes that's a common situation for many assets publisher. First sales are very difficult to obtains. Some excellent assets have no or few download, and the publisher don't have many tools to promote their creations. After few purchases you will be quickly ranked in the Popular pages (default pages for all the categories).
We discussed with several publishers and most said that only few sales can jump you in a front page of a category. Also, only 3 votes from customers makes the stars visible and also increase the sales (so it is all about getting the first 3 sales with 5 stars I assume)

If you want to contact us we would be happy to test and maybe review your asset and give a little more exposure (http://www.assetsreporter.com). Our blog is new and in BETA but it looks as we already generated some sales indirectly.

Looks really nice! Its been only few days there, give it some time. You could add a link to your signature. Video was really good, so perhaps its time to bump your thread by adding that video.

Hey Asset Reporter, busy implementing some changes to the pack. Do you guys think it necessary to add colliders to the prefabs themselves or should that really only be added to the objects in the demo scenes?

    Thanks for the advice!

William, I think it would be good to add colliders to the objects as in most of the case, you need them, and when not it is easier to remove them than to add them. My one cent...

Just my opinion, you should always add colliders to things that players will always put colliders on.. like walls and trees. For other objects that are questionable, err on the side of having the collider. Very few people will complain about having to remove some random collider, but they will complain about having to add them.

As far as getting on the front page. This is your first asset. I am not saying this to be a cheap consumer, this is honest advice. Knock your price down to $10 for a month and then double it every month until you are back to $40. For me, once assets start getting in the $50 range, I want to see reviews from other buyers, even on other assets from that developer just to be sure that the developer knows what they are doing.. there are a lot of $50 assets on the Unity store that are worthless because they are so broken it takes you longer to fix than the asset is worth.

In other words, you are going to have to buy those first few reviews by taking a small loss on the early sales.
