Alright, so I've finally decided to get with the times and start using Twitter (with an account that I created back when Twitter was new). I've also started carving out time to update my blog again. I've updated the software and switched to Disqus commenting, though I still need to reskin it.

In the past I've been all over the place, in fact I've deleted some of my previous blog posts and recategorized others. I've decided to narrow my focus a bit. I'm going to be concentrating mostly on content centered around .NET (C#) and AngularJS.

I'd love to see some feedback on my blog if anyone is interested in checking it out, but more importantly, I'd like to know what things you guys would like to see. Are there any areas of .NET you've been itching to learn more about or have questions about? Are there any .NET (or even web / javascript / angular) topics you'd like to see covered?

There are tons and tons of graphics related tutorials and blogs. There are quite a few development blogs as well, but I'd like to do my part and contribute back more on the technical (development) side and create content that will be truly helpful to others (not just things that I find interesting). So let me know what you'd like me to write about! The more C# / .NET knowledge you have, the stronger Unity developer you can be.

If you're interested, follow me on Twitter: @dustinhorne

I currently work as a web developer for a GIS company. They chose to hire me despite the fact that I had limited .NET experience and only passing knowledge of Angular, both of which we use regularly for our projects.

I'd be interested in reading anything and everything about the two, including (off the top of my head):
    • How to effectively combine Angular routing with .NET MVC
    • Angular patterns and practices for interfacing with project APIs
    • Angular services. What are they and how do I use them properly?!
    • Angular + Typescript: A match made in Hell?
    Looking forward to reading!

I just posted a new Angular article yesterday which is actually really sweet. It's a component system for Angular that makes building reusable components and sharing data super easy (and more clean than directives).

I could certainly write on all of those topics. We are using .NET MVC / WebAPI for our backend and AngularJS for the frontend on a current project. It's actually a SOA environment so much of the WebAPI actually routes to various other services. But the setup was a breeze. The key is in setting up your routing table correctly. I could even write about how we broke up our application into multiple sub-applications and use MVC pages to bootstrap with a common app.

On the topic of Typescript, if you're going to use it... Visual Studio 2015 is highly recommended. It's a pain without and we have a mix so it has been somewhat hellish. If you get the framework setup, creating typescript stuff is really easy but managing dependencies when you tie it in with the build is a bit of a bear. I'll definitely keep note of those topics and start putting together some material. Thanks @Schneider21!
