Getting a player name

    Anyone know the best way to get the players name to store in a high score table. I've seen other game do this (crossyroads etc) without using the device name or gamecenter etc..

    Anyone know how they do it?

    You ask them! Does your game have a login, or otherwise ask for their player name? I trust you don't mean their device email or profile name. Regardless, you still need to ask.
