@kamGames - Making games involves many professions and combines engineering with art. Some people specialize in one profession while other learn several areas, it is even common that many people specialize further within their chosen profession. Some of us make games for fun, others to express themselves and there are also those that just do it for work.

The way of learning game development is very similar to art, practice and patience. Be prepared to fail often and learn from your mistakes. Try to set reasonable goals, no one paints like Leonardo Da Vinci at their first attempt but everyone can manage a few stick figures. Learn how to use the tools, learn from your mistakes, learn from others... There are tutorials all over the place: Unity, Websites, Blogs, YouTube and Google etc. You need to learn the basics and the vocabulary to find advanced topics, then comes master topics and finally the cutting edge research topics.
But one lesson is more important then the rest; what kinds of artist are you?
Should you specialize or learn a wide set of skills? Are you a programmer, artist, QA, manager or designer (this list can be made MUCH longer)? Are you better suited for AAA companies or should you fund your own indie studio? Maybe this should only be a hobby for you?

Don't be afraid to fail and remember to have fun :) That is how all of us starts drawing as kids... we just didn't understand that kitchen wall wasn't the right place to do it ;)
