Get Gps data in the background

    I have shon much on the Internet searched for it. Unfortunately, I have found nothing about it. Is there really no way to create an app that queries the gps data in the background and sends it to firebase? I have already created an app that does exactly that. However, only when it is open.

    Android and iOS have separate background modes that require different entitlements and permissions to be set.

    All of this functionality is external to Unity.

    You can google for background modes for either platform and there are both developer documentation as well as tutorials for doing such an integration to the underlying operating system, based on which target you're building for.
