Bug "Generic message code 5 has not been handled" error spamming in editor

I upgraded a pretty small project from unity 2019.4.13f1 to 2019.4.28f1, and now I'm getting the message posted in the title logged as an error every frame in the editor. The game still runs fine and I can even build it without error -- however, the error message is really annoying, and I'd like to fix whatever is causing it!

Possibly related: I'm somehow not signed in to my account on Unity Hub, and when I try to sign in I simply get a blank window that opens up and that I can't close: .

I think it's because you aren't logged into unity hub, since the same thing happened to me and when I logged back into unity hub it stopped spamming that.

 

As for the blank login window I can't help you with that

 

I am also running into this same error after upgrading to 2019.4.28f1.
The login window in Unity Hub is also blank.

 

Strange behaviour, I am logged on Unity Hub, and I starting getting this error when:

• I kept a project open in Unity 2019.4.26f1
• Closed Unity Hub and then opened again with Admin access
• Starting download of a new version of Unity trough Hub
• Then this error started in the opened project
• Errors stopped when I reopened the project

I will not open a bug report since I don't know how to reproduce it and its a minor issue in a 2019 version, but posting here just because this was a top result when searching on Google.

Getting a bunch of crashes randomly, and started seeing this.
Unity 2022.2.0b8.

Update: A system reboot fixed it.
