Do you have any recommendations on where to look for info about generating landscapes, preferably incrementally (slowly), meaning that the landscape expands over real time. If you come back the next day, the landscape has grown, and plants have spawned. Sort of like this classic random walk, but for generating landscape meshes by chance. http://natureofcode.com/book/introduction/

I have seen a few packages in the unity store for generating landscapes, and I know of generating peaks and valleys based on images of course, but I'm sure there are other creative ways to generate exciting landscapes to explore, using code?

The reason I want the landscape to grow and change is to make the game dev process itself more interesting.

Ps: I am a Unity noob, but I've done a few of the provided tutorials and a few other basic experiments. C#-skills are pretty low.
