Maybe a bit of a strange question, but here it goes:

Which games have awesome announcer voices in the vein of Quake, Unreal, Mortal Kombat? I would like to get some inspiration for a game that might use this type of retro announcer but I can't think of any other games. Please help!

This is an interesting question, and makes me think of something. Are there any "Announce" voice packs on the Asset-Store? That seems like something that could potentially be pretty useful.

Fighting games usually have an announcer, but it isn't always that "omnious low voice".

I was watching really old cartoons and those with announcer voices were so smooth, while my voice sounds like a dumb hick, with or without the accent. I think you can be trained to speak like that, something to do with the diaphragm.

I think a game where the players must gather items to craft might be a good candidate, but any game that you create cut scenes for could use a good announcer narrative in the cut scenes.

Thank you! Particularly liked Duke Nukem, amazingly silly and cheesy and the kind of awesome I am looking for. I forgot about Tekken as well.

Blood has the voice of Monolith's CEO.

    "DISEMBOWELLED!"

Also Duncan Fisher in various Mechwarrior games (MW4 and MWLL).
