We went with the free ad-supported distribution (for Android) and while we're not great fan of it, we don't have the task force (neither the host of devices) to be able to provide appropriate support to the droids army.

Hello everybody,

I am new to the Unity community and have a couple of questions. I have an Android phone that I would eventually like to upgrade Unity to, but for now I have to stick with Unity Free and do the web build.

1. can you use c++ with Unity? I have virtually no programming skills but I have the option to take a c++ or c# college course. My college recommends I take c++ but I wanted to ask some real devs. which is better? why or why not?

2. I will be working alone with Unity, are there any pointers for a newbie, tutorials, hints tips etc for starting out?

I really appreciate all the help. I have read some posts in this thread but not all of them. It looks like the community is doing some great things with Unity. Keep up the good work and Thank you all.

Hi there

We recently released our first indy game: frank the fish.
Just today we released the Android version.

It's a side scroller and plays under water. Frank - the main character - has to survive at the bottom of the ocean. It's life could be so cheerful! There’s lots of food, but here is where the problems start: Not all of it is good for him.

We developed this game in our spare time. That is why it took us quite a long time to finish.

All characters, animations and render scenes (for the website and promo video) where made with Cinema4D. The scripts are written in C#. My colleague did the all the artwork, I wrote the code and integrated all assets into Unity. For the music and translations we got some help.

As we have now a proven work flow, we plan to proceed in making games.
