I'm playing Death's Door. I didn't get it for anything other than curiosity and I heard nothing about it.

Turns out to be a really fun chill soulslike and I did laugh quite a bit at times. I like this game! What games are you playing that were made with Unity?

Minion Masters, unity watermarked it by pink rectangles from time to time.

Both games that have been taking up a lot of my time have been made on Unity it seems.
    • Pathfinder: Kingmaker
    • Valheim
Also been playing the recently release The Good Life by crazy Japanese director Swery, and while I cannot for the life of me find out what engine it was made with, it definitely feels like Unity.

There's a number of other games on my currently installed Steam library that I can see were made with Unity too.

  4. I'm a bit behind with games lately, currently play 'For the King!' and 'Disco Elysium' when I have the time and I'm in the mood.

I need to pick up Disco Elysium again, I couldn't take the tree shading being broken on AMD cards (they were flickering all over the place and was super distracting) and I stopped playing, but maybe it's fixed now?

    Also the Outer Wilds DLC.

I also want to finish Below, which asked for more commitment from me than I was willing to give at the time...
    nvm Below isn't Unity.

I recently got a Minute of Islands in one of the recent Unity Humble Bundles. I thought it was very good. It's short, but I love short games. If I see a game on Steam that has negative reviews for being too short, then I add it to my wish list. :p

This one is probably in-house. And rather than looking like unity it looks more like a "pre-pbr" game. You can also go into game folder and check. Unity projects have a specific folder structure.

Disco Elysium, actually. I've started it, put it on hold, and plan to finish it.

The rest of the stuff does not use unity.

    Well, that's unity, alright.

They're not. Those are kickstarter screenshots from something like a prototype.
Check steam page for the game instead.

There's bump-mapping, and shiny modern surfaces (apparently only on one character) but overall it heavily resembles pre-pbr game. With photographed textures and all.

Well last Unity games I played were Car Mechanic Simulator 2021 and the Last Campfire. Really liked how Car Mechanic mods work and Last Campfire is a really chill game.

Thing is to note... when we are casually playing Unity games and it only occurs to us to check after we've been playing them, it means that Unity isn't really in a bad place for making games. IMHO & YMMV :)

Yeah, I agree with that. I didn't realize about Car Mechanic until I went ahead and searched for mods. I read about modifying the StreamingAsset folder and went to see the folder structure.

Yeah that isn’t the case though.

Disco Elysium trees glitching all over the place? Must be Unity!

Outer Wilds stuttering and performing like crap? Must be Unity!

Death's Door having controller problems on launch (they used the new input system)? Must be Unity!

Some people can make great games in spite of Unity, not because of it.

I haven't really played any games lately, but I think the last Unity game I played was Shellshock Live.

Kerbal Space Program. I don't even notice how the whole day has passed when playing it sometimes...

I play Unity Report a Bug, but the balancing is quite off in my opinion. I get defeated all the time.

Oh, I didn't realize it was a Unity game until I checked, but I just started playing Blasphemous lately. It's pretty good, but I think it might be to difficult for me. Obviously, the art is amazing.

I off and on play Escape From Tarkov. It is a bit too stressful to play regularly though.

I used to play Cities Skylines a lot, it's a hugely popular game for those who are unaware. That's made in Unity.

Not at the moment (afaik) but my favourite games from the past years mostly happen to use Unity.
    • Ori - The Will of the Wisps
    • Outer Wilds
    • Hollow Knight
With Outer Wilds being the only one where you could see it I guess, and then also Satisfactory which is obviously Unreal.

Used to play a lot of Hearthstone before but switched to Magic The Gathering: Arena couple years back. Occasionally I also play Phasmophobia.

I haven't played it in a while, but I played lots of Battletech by HBS. It is a sim of the battletech tabletop game, but with modern touches, campaign, etc... pretty good stuff.

The original one predates SRP. My guess is a very custom built-in

I got sidetracked with the new Castlevania collection, but I was playing Slay the Spire a lot.

I usually hate card games, But they did a terrific job of making it engaging

Just did a search for Unity in my Steam folder:
    • Pond Wars
    • Root
    • AI War 2
    • TableTop Simulator
    • Terraforming Mars
    • Twilight Struggle
    • Kerball Space Program
    • Tyranny
    • Particle Fleet Emergence
    • Scythe
    • BattleTech
Unity represents about 40% of my installed games by title. It does seem to skew dramatically towards the smaller games in my collection.

I'm too lazy to check my uninstalled games.

I just fired up Slayaway Camp: Butchers' Cut on PS4.. so, it's back to being one I'm "currently playing" - haven't actually spent much time gaming lately (spending the majority on game dev). Got the platinum ages ago, though admittedly I did have to look up solutions to quite a few of the puzzles. It was also one of the games that inspired me to learn Unity.

All of the games I play are non-Unity made, the only one I play currently that's made with Unity is: Crash Bandicoot (fan made game by "Alexs Stuff" on Youtube).

Tried to beat the game, failed every time! It's so god damn hard!

I just got a new one called Demon Turf. It's a fun 3D platformer but I had to rage-quit 5 times just getting past the first level. :D

I installed an idle game called Cell to Singularity the other day. Fun idle game though I would rather it could just be bought outright and not free-to-play and begging me with micro-transactions.

In 5 seconds I could tell it was made in Unity admittedly.

Kind of make me want to make an idle game. Seems pretty straight forward, though I know it never ends up being that way.

    Has anyone played Recompile?

I've been eyeing it for a while, I think it's a matter of days before I break down and buy it.
